Who are we?
Mundial Company is devoted to wholesaling distribution of household and construction items in Colombia.
Since 1921, we have been supplying the best quality products of the most important brands to over 11,000 retailers from 650 municipalities.
Our current portfolio includes more than 10,000 references; we have a group of 180 specialized sale advisors trained to provide assistance and solution to our customer’s needs, supported on the most modern technological tools.
Our workgroup has been allocated in seven regional sale offices, supported by six distribution centers and a modern Call Center (Centro de Atención Mundial CAM), with the most modern technology to efficiently integrate our communication and information systems.
History
With both customers and suppliers we have a quality and respect relationship, which through years has allowed our company become one of the most respected and preferred companies in our country.
Mundial Company was founded in Medellín on November 26th 1921 by Mr. Germán Saldarriaga del Valle, as a wholesaler of durable and semi-durable goods.
At the beginning, the company’s business was essentially focused on imported products, but as the industrialization process was developing in the country, our portfolio was supplemented with products manufactured in the country such as those manufactured by Pintuco company.
After some years, the Company opened branches in the following cities:
- Bogotá – 1933
- Cali – 1946
- Barranquilla – 1957
- Bucaramanga – 1967
- Pasto – 1970
- Pereira - 1983
Throughout these years, the Company has been constantly developing and has been outstanding for its geographic scope, its personnel quality, its service culture and, its reasonable distribution cost compared to the large operation volume.
Mission
We are a company devoted to wholesale distribution and sale of general merchandise. Compared to the other companies in the field, our services will have a value added which is higher for our customers and suppliers, bearing in mind their needs, desires, and purchasing capacity.
Vision
We plan to be the distributor preferred by customers and suppliers wherever we are located, meeting their needs and expectations under a commitment of responsibility to both their employees and shareholders.
